Danforth Lowe’s makes generous donation to Neighbourhood Link
Our newest neighbour just moved in and is already making a difference in our community.
At their Grand Opening on June 30th, Lowe’s made a very generous donation to support the work of Neighbourhood Link.
Store Manager, Rob MacLaughlin, spoke about growing up in the community and the importance of giving back. He certainly did that today when he presented Liz Forestell, our Executive Director with a $10,000 cheque in support of our great work.
The new store has already hired many local residents, including folks who come to our Employment Centre. As Brenda Moxey said ‘it’s about giving people jobs who need them’.
We are delighted to partner with Lowe’s, a company that clearly demonstrates corporate commitment to making our neighbourhoods better.

Without the support of 734 Volunteers who provided over 27,000 hours of service which is equivalent to 14 full time staff, we could not have reached the 20,000 clients with programs or services.
